Sierra Rock gyakorlatilag a halál torkából tért vissza: huszonöt kilósan előfordult, hogy tíz napig nem evett egyetlen falatot sem. Ma újra egészséges, rendszeresen sportol, és úgy érzi, megküzdött démonaival.

#transformationtuesday !! Today I was a lil grumpy because it was back day at the gym and tbh I HATE BACK DAY. It’s not even the “love hate” type thing… it’s more that I hate it because I feel like my back will NEVER have definition and I always feel like mine carries a lot of fat and looks soft. HOWEVER I came across a photo from December (on the left) and now I’m like DAMN..4 months of hard work and a lot of food. I may not have the lats of my dreams but I don’t have the spine of my nightmares and that’s good enough for me… constantly reminding myself that it’s about progress not perfection! One day at a time!! Growth is so gradual that sometimes you don’t even realize it’s happening but then you look back and you realize that you’re nowhere near where you started and that’s pretty effing cool!! #transformationtuesday ❤ November 2017-april 2018 I’ve been feeling really discouraged lately about my current shape and so I figured it was important to look at how far I’ve come. I feel discouraged because, no, I am no longer drastically under weight but I am also not the jacked fitness diva that I aim to be. When I’m at the gym I sometimes feel a bit hokey as I lift because I feel like I look weak and like a “wannabe” who is naturally thin but works out for show. Being stuck somewhere in the middle between fit and underweight makes me feel “fat” and, honestly, less valuable as I can’t rely on my body shape as an identity. But the truth is: I AM strong and I HAVE come a long way. It will take time and patience to grow to where I want to be but I’m a heck of a lot closer than where I was. #TransformationTuesday on a Saturday? – although I have so much growth to experience (and food to eat) I still feel very proud to have transformed so deeply in such a short period of time. I truly admire and proudly acknowledge the strides I have taken. Yes a few pounds have been gained but the transformation here is in my attitude. I’m no longer taking photos of my body with the intent to ridicule every inch and scrutinize my entire being- I am taking the photos now to snap memories of the amazing moments my life is made up of. I am capturing moments of joy so that I can remind myself during difficult moments that THIS IS WHY I AM FIGHTING. Am I totally comfortable with my current shape? No. Will I let it control my life?
