Miután a művész édesanyja agytumor következtében elhunyt, Mitchell magába húzódott, és egy sajátos, meseszerű álomvilág megteremtése segítségével dolgozta fel a gyászt. Az eredmény magáért beszél:

It’s not long now till the big Wonderland show at @fotografiska.tallinn will close on November 24th. I wanted to say a huge thank you to everyone who came and for all the beautiful messages I have received from it’s visitors. Next stop for the tour will be @fotografiska.ny In 2020 (estimated for the Fall but not officially confirmed yet). Final destination will be a big home coming to Fotografiska London I’m guessing 2021. Here are a few glimpses from the show (I won’t post too many as you’ve all seen the original Stockholm installation many times before!) The Wonderland book is still available but as I mentioned in my previous post the 2nd Edition is now running low in stock (link in bio) . Finally, for those of you who saw my smaller touring museum show in the US (the Paine 2017, Fort Wayne Museum of Art 2018). That collection of 19 selected works from the Wonderland series will be opening in Florida in January 2020 at the @moartdeland . (The Storyteller) **Last few views of the Wonderland show at @fotografiska . The show is on for a few more weeks and will close on March 3rd. As you all know the exhibition will travel to London and New York in the future, but I have recently been told that due to delays with building work Wonderland won’t be reaching those venues until 2020. It will however be opening this November in another European country, which I will announce once I can share the details. Also for those making future plans, London will be the biggest museum of all the tour venues and New York will be a bit smaller than Stockholm. This is all I can say for now! (I’ll continue to post some of your lovely photos sent in by visitors) . Thank you so much for all your lovely messages, emails and comments. ‘Gammelyn’s Daughter’ 160cm, at @fotografiska . This picture in particular really transforms in the darkness of the show, she almost appears to be floating… a ghostly endless sleep that leaves prickles on the skin.
