Our newest program Monster Project UNITE has been going strong for the last 2 months! For those of you who don’t know, Monster Project UNITE is an open illustration prompt that invites artists to reimagine a new kids drawing every two weeks to share on instagram. (Check out #monsterprojectunite to see them all) Our last prompt came to us from 12 year old Caleb. To ring in Halloween (the most monstrous of holidays) and to celebrate the community, we held a contest with this prompt. Picking a winner was insanely difficult with all the great submissions, but we finally decided on this amazing work of art from @louisminnaar. The details, textures, and personality is all incredible and it truly captures the spirit of Caleb’s original monster. Louis will be receiving a copy of our Monster Project Art Book as well as our Monster Project Activity Book! Woo! Congratulations to all of the artists that joined in on the fun. The best part of our project is going back to the classrooms and sharing the new monsters with the kids. Every single one of these smiles is owed to our incredible artists who take the time to lovingly reimagine these students’ drawings.
