I have really been looking into new sources for inspiration. I have some monster, myth, legend books on the way from amazon, but I actually got really inspired by the book covers for goosebumps for this one. Love those so much! The best inspiration for me usually comes from vintage things from when I was a kid. For this one, I wanted to capture a calm, beautiful moment between human and beast that we will never see. However, there’s a deeper meaning here about humans coming face to face with our own extinction. —————————— As much as I’d love to see dinosaurs walking around today, I’m happy they are no longer with us. Because if they were, humans would be the cause of their extinction. They would be hunted for trophies, skin, fur etc. And their environments would be drastically impacted and destroyed by our carbon footprint. —————————— So here’s a friendly reminder to try and do things this year to help reduce waste, and cut down on things that negatively impact our planet and the beautiful animals that still live on it ???? I watched the original twice while working on this. When I was about four years old, I’d walk around the house with my toy proton pack blasting all the ghosts. I love making these so much. They remind me of those No Rules Mead pocket folders from the 90s. Anybody remember those? There was like a crocodile attacking a guy on rollerblades, an iguana playing volleyball, an eagle catching a baseball, and a ton more. They were so dope.
