Az ifjabb Thomas nem ápolt szoros kapcsolatot kishúgával, aki tavaly házasodott be a brit királyi családba. Olyannyira nem volt jó véleménnyel Meghanről, hogy áprilisban még egy levelet is írt leendő sógorának, Harry hercegnek, miszerint

Túl késő már, de akkor is egyértelmű, hogy Meghan Markle nem a hozzád való nő.

The Duchess of Sussex yesterday attended a meeting with The Association of Commonwealth Universities (ACU) at King’s College London. Her Royal Highness joined university leaders, academics and international scholarship students as they discussed the role of higher education in addressing issues such as human trafficking, modern slavery, gender equality, peace and reconciliation, and climate change. In a speech during the Royal Visit to Fiji in October, The Duchess announced two ACU Gender Grants for the University of the South Pacific and Fiji National University, to fund new learning initiatives aimed at empowering female university staff and promoting gender equality.

Az apjuk jelezte már, hogy Meghan féltestvére súlyos alkohol problémákkal küzd, és már segítségre is szorul ezügyben. Samantha, a most lekapcsolt Thomas vérszerinti nővére szerint nincs köze a színésznőből hercegnővé vált féltestvérük előre meneteléhez a férfi alkoholizmusának, ugyanis

Thomas mindig is iszákos volt.

Olyannyira, hogy 2017 januárjában már tartóztatták le azért, mert fegyvert tartott barátnője fejéhez, egy ittas dulakodás alkalmával, említi meg a TMZ.
