I was 4 when I saw STAR WARS opening weekend in ’77. The instant we got home, I set out to storyboard the whole thing from memory. I did OK pic.twitter.com/OBgj6fhFxR

My grid was pretty terrible, but the tiny drawings just show how connected I felt to Lucas’ visions. Here’s the opening battle: pic.twitter.com/YSSWEgbxJm

Pretty proud of how I used perspective here, showing Vader’s back as he lectures Princess Leia by saying “O.K” pic.twitter.com/KBzynUNrx5

Apparently I thought that Vader’s Force-choke move in the board meeting was done via poison? From a cup? pic.twitter.com/jOCDkEcijt

The detail on the Jawas’ sand-crawler tracks is probably my favorite thing. I nailed this pic.twitter.com/CNgpd8342G

Kinda mailed it in on Luke, though, who’s pictured working on R2. He looks like a Muppet pic.twitter.com/qe0R0pD3XI

This landspeeder tho. This could’ve been concept art pic.twitter.com/ZMe4JZkuUn

Not sure what R2 is up to here, but I like that he says “O BOY” pic.twitter.com/SavIYmSaAM

The climactic lightsaber battle is pretty static, but I captured the old man pretty well pic.twitter.com/zueXD1Gy3R

At this point I’ve run out of panels, so I had to condense the whole 3rd act into trench-run/medals ceremony pic.twitter.com/V05LBzlCZy
