I breath in deep, my lungs tell me to fly. A moment or an hour, a garden or a flower, which potion to devour. It gets cold up high, but I’ve got that spark to last the night- no one can take the love I hold inside. Waves grow stronger as you press in farther to the back of my thigh. Something ties me to the ground. Moving, shaking, my senses cease to exist. I’m frozen when you’re around, still to the core. Something sparks a memory, a needle drops to the floor, there is nothing to hear only a film reel going round. What is the source of this fire, who holds the key to success. The agony of a million voices battling sends me to my bed. Only still shores can bring me back, away from the broken chatter, I sit here waiting, my heart on a silver platter. Beauty in the details (part 3) To create this look, I used ribbon, dipped it in paint, and wrapped it around the models bodies to create a smooth line. The process reflects the symbolism of accepting your body, mimicking a measuring ribbon being wrapped around you. After I made each line, @graycedhair would go over each one with a paint brush to make sure it looked as perfect as possible. This was the quickest painting set I’ve done yet, it took us about 4 hours to paint and shoot! Mad props to the models for all their patience! My favorite time of year is here! Its Pride month AND my birthday month, which has always felt so special to me. I came out to my family as a present to myself for my 24th birthday and I’ve just always loved the joy and love in the air with all my community celebrating. I hope you’re surrounded by love and support this month- you deserve it. Even when our blood families don’t support us, we can choose the family we surround ourselves with. Thank you to all of you who are a part of my chosen family (and thank you to my blood fam that is so supportive and amazing)? (Part 3) Definitely have proud Dad feels from creating this series. Between spending 6 hours on the body paint and 20 hours on the retouching (some of the intimate poses made the paint messy throughout the shoot) I really put my all into this.
