Hey guys, Dana here. I come to you today, deeply, deeply ashamed. I was at an event recently at @miamiuniversity where a student, after an hour of excitedly waiting in line, came to me and asked me to make this, the Dr. Phil MnM. Here at Dancakes, our goal is to try to never say no to a pancake art request, so though the reference picture churned my stomach, and the indescribable feeling of bleak, grey despair had already begun to set in, I shakily took the phone, and I started laying the batter on the griddle, to make this. . I hate this pancake. I hate that I had to stare at the original reference picture for four minutes to make it. I hate that I can HEAR this image. I hated the feeling of flipping it over, revealing this abomination to the world, that last flame of innocence in me quietly flickering and dying, as the boy’s distant laughter echoed dully in my ears, like water dripping in a cave. I can’t take this back. I made this. I brought this into the world. This exists because of me. Someone ate this because of me. All I can really do now, is that say I regret it. . And that I’m sorry. . Hire Dancakes for your next event. We won’t say no.
