‼️Guys, we have a very serious situation. These two burned kitties were found in Malibu barely alive. They need to be on oxygen right now. But we don’t have an oxygen machine. They are at a vet right now, if we can get an oxygen concentrator donated or donations towards one, we can help save these cats! ??A small update; the cats have settled in well at Conejo Vet, they are both females. The b/w tux is named Apollo, and the Orange/white is Osiris. (Names by the rescuers) Osiris is doing very well, Apollo is very critical still. She is having trouble breathing and has been given a sedative to try and calm her down. We don’t know if she will make it at this time, but we are taking every effort possible to save her thanks to everyone’s donations that are coming in. ?? They are on pain medication, in oxygen, and receiving fluids. They were badly burned in the #WoolseyFire and fending for themselves for 2-3 days before being rescued. THEY WERE NOT INTENTIONALLY LEFT BEHIND. . Donations can be made directly to Conejo Valley Veterinary Hospital c/o Surfcat Rescue re: Apollo and Osiris . . #Repost @laanimalservices with @get_repost ・・・ On Friday, November 9th, LA Animal Services was requested thru Mutual Aid from LA County Animal Control to assist in evacuating Malibu. We sent our Animal Control Officers with trucks and horse trailers and gathered our Volunteer Emergency Equine Response Trailer teams. Our East Valley, West Valley and West LA Animal Services Centers have taken in a total of 76 animals due to this emergency situation. The animals in our care that have been displaced by the #WoolseyFire will be with us until we are able to reunite them with their owners. If you visited one of our six LA Animal Services Centers this weekend and were not able to foster, please consider visiting us again as we have incoming pets and new pets made available for adoption or foster every day. Our policy is to only foster out a pet that is spayed/neutered. If you see a cat or dog that you would like to adopt or foster, talk to our staff and volunteers to get the process started! We’ll get their spay/neuter surgery scheduled so they can go home with you later in the week. Adoptions and rescues do take precedence over fostering, so please be patient if staff is assisting others.
